Diner Directory
Each of Diner has its own listing, with space for its name, address, phone & fax
numbers, email, website address and map link, picture, and a text area for
describing and promoting your Diner.
Announcements
are typically submitted by the public via
the Internet, but may also be input by Texas Diner Staff if received by
snail mail, on paper, email, phone or fax.
Announcements may also be
'self-published' by Gold Plus and Platinum members in behalf of a Diner.
Public Recipes
submitted by the unregistered public go into a holding file,
not directly onto the live website. Each recipe may include a picture. These recipes are then edited if needed and
confirmed by the website administrator before being activated. Recipes will be
deleted if incomplete or inappropriate.
The public recipe section also
allows registered members to input their own recipes online, complete
with pictures of the dishes they're posting. They may edit or delete their
recipes at any time.
Diner Events
submitted by the unregistered public go into a holding file
and must be approved by the appointed "site
administrator" before they are viewable on the live Website. Each event may
include a picture..
The site administrator may also
authorize registered Diners to publish their own events. These
events are not only viewable as part of the 'general' website calendar, but are
also viewable as a separate calendar under the organization's diner listing -
without duplicate input.
Authorized organizations,
through their registered representative(s), can publish and maintain their
own events on the website without further intervention by the site
administrator.
Forums
Suggestions / Comments

reviews, suggestions and opinions to the 'Editor' of the website for publication
on the site. Each review may include a picture.

and update links to websites that are useful and/or of interest to the
users/members of Texas Diner. Each link must be approved by a member of Texas
Diner's staff.
Diner Jobs
is a very powerful contact mechanism for employers and job seekers focusing on
Diner and Restaurant related employers and jobs . Its purpose is to complement,
not replace, paper-based cover letters and resumes, and other traditional
recruiting practices.
Public visitors may and search
for jobs and review employer profiles. Posting of resumes and jobs require
registration.
Diner Guides
allows TexasDiner.com to use any Topic in the
Diner Directory to create an extensive, in-depth guide. A good example of this
concept is the All Cuisine Guide. This type of guide allows a site visitor to
search for diners and restaurants by type of cuisine, by 'service types' such as
full bar or buffet dining, or by a combination of both search criteria.
The guides have the capability to associate an additional
document with any company’s listing, or to display a hypertext link to an
external web page. Examples of a document may be a restaurant menu, a large
image file, etc., including file types of .gif, .jpg, plain text, HTML, or an
Acrobat PDF.
Before the above capabilities can be
utilized, the specialty guide must of course be set up on TexasDiner.com,
complete with categories and all the appropriate Diners from the Diner
directory.
Banner Ads allow us to
display Banner Ad graphics on any page of the TexasDiner.com site. It also
serves as the interface between the banner graphics, the advertiser contracts,
and the Texas Diner Web site itself.
There are three standard
banner sizes accommodated by the Ad Server, as well as the ability to display
banners on pages of TexasDiner.com site that lack contracts.
Ad contracts can be reported
to advertiser by, location on the Web site, sales rep, end date, or by
percentage of impressions completed.

this function for your organization.
Each story is associated with
a section of the publication, and can appear in any order within that section.
Featured stories are selected to be on the front page of the publication, but
only one story can be designated the Lead Story, which is displayed as the first
story on the publication's main page and simultaneously on the front page of
Texas Diner. Each Gold Member will have a featured story and the
Platinum Member will have a Lead Story. All

registered site members who are associated with an organization or business that

each include one graphic, and may be displayed in any order within each
newsletter. Stories may be input without automatically being 'live' on the
website, and may be inactivated without being deleted.
Once set up, the individual newsletters are managed entirely by their respective
organization’s authorized member. Any newsletter may have more than one
registered member with access to its upkeep.
Diner eContest
allows a Diner to sponsor interactive contests on TexasDiner.com. There can be
as many contest types, or categories, as needed, with multiple individual
contests running simultaneously for each category.
Contest Winners will be selected by an automated random selection process or by
TexasDiner.net's Portal software, depending on the rules/structure of each
individual contest. As many 'winners' as necessary may be selected from the
contestant pool, regardless of which selection process is used.
Diner Coupons
offers Diners the ability to
display coupon-type advertising on TexasDiner.com. Visitors may view promotions
by either the Diner name or by the type of merchandise/service being offered.
Advertisers must contract for
a set period of time for running an e-Coupon listing. The advertiser may access
the system - right through his browser - to change his listing as often and as
many times as he wishes during the contract period.
A Coupon sponsor may have as
many e-Coupon contracts as desired. Each contract is a separate agreement, with
its own information. A sponsor Diner must be listed in the Directory before an

‘diner’ web sites. These sites are automatically tied into the TexasDiner.com
web site for administration and selective content sharing.
Each diner web site has independent display capability for
all of its text and graphics content, and can share with TexasDiner.com the
items from: its events calendar, its announcements, its e-promotions, its recipe
and entree showcase, its newsletter, and its job postings. Each individual item
has the option of being displayed only on the diner site, only on TexasDiner.com,
or simultaneously on both sites. |
